Facebombing is the practice of isolating one face within a group photo, and placing it over every person’s face. Compared to face swapping which generally consists of a 1 to 1 exchange, facebombing is a 1 to many exchange.
On Reddit, posts are often titled “am I doing this right?” linking to a vertical multi-pane image similar to the Tenso format, but the final panel zooms back out to reveal a facebomb. A recent popular version of this was the famous “Cigar Guy”
